Roman Reese

Originally from Middle Tennessee, Roman Reese attended undergraduate school at Tennessee Technological University where he received his bachelor of science degree, cum laude, majoring in English & Journalism. Before attending Law School, Roman served as an active duty officer in the United States Army Military Police Corps, attaining the rank of Captain. In 2004, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal while serving in Baghdad, Iraq. After concluding his time on active duty, Roman received his J.D. from the University of Tennessee School of Law. During his educational career, Roman received various scholastic honors, including awards for academic excellence in Pre-Trial Litigation and Law, Science and Technology. Roman now represents clients in general civil litigation, focusing primarily on insurance subrogation and contract disputes.

J. Matthew Williams

Matt Williams was born and raised in East Tennessee and admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2003. Matt is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the United States Bankruptcy Court. Matt received his bachelors degree with honors from Carson Newman College in 2000 and graduated law school with his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee School of Law in 2003. Matt received numerous honors throughout his educational career. He has extensive litigation experience, having appeared before the courts of more than 70 counties across Tennessee.

Tyler Brown

Tyler Brown is a Tennessean through and through. Born and raised in Maryville, he has called Tennessee home for his entire life. Tyler graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 2012, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in History.  He later moved across the state to Memphis, where he earned his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in May 2017. After graduation, he returned to his native East Tennessee to become an associate attorney at Garner & Conner.

Tyler is admitted to the Tennessee Bar, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee. Additionally, Tyler has successfully argued cases before both the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Blount County Bar Association.

Kara Fitzpatrick

Although born in Marietta, Georgia, Kara Fitzpatrick grew up in Halls Crossroads, Tennessee, in North Knoxville. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Honors in Political Science. Kara graduated cum laude from Lincoln Memorial Duncan School of Law in Knoxville with a Juris Doctorate in 2019 and was admitted to practice law in Tennessee in November 2019. Kara is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts in Tennessee.

She is an associate attorney at Garner & Conner, PLLC and is also the firm’s Compliance Management Systems Director. Kara handles various civil litigation matters, as well as Wills, Estates, and Probate cases.
